To join SJP’s Technical Connection Talbot and Muir head of pensions technical Claire Trott is leaving the self-invested personal pension (SIPP) and small self-administered scheme (SSAS) provider.
It is understood Trott (pictured) left to move to Technical Connection – the technical support business – to focus on the wider pension arena after concentrating on SIPPs and SSASs at Talbot and Muir.
Paul Darvill is to replace Trott as head of pensions technical with immediate effect while also heading the administration units for the SIPP and SSAS provider.
Darvill has been involved in the running of the technical team at Talbot and Muir for 15 years after joining the firm in 1995 as a SSAS administrator.
Director Graham Muir said: “Paul Darvill joined Talbot and Muir 21 years ago and has worked through the business during that time, gaining considerable knowledge and technical expertise in the SSAS and SIPP sectors.
“Paul will take over the running of the technical team with immediate effect and of course we wish Claire well in her new role.”
Technical Connection was acquired by wealth management group St. James’s Place in April 2016.
Trott has been a strong voice in the SIPP and SSAS arenas since joining Talbot and Muir in December 2013.
