Curtis Banks marketing and communications expert Greg Kingston has died aged 47.
Kingston joined Suffolk Life, which has since become Curtis Banks, in 2007 and was an integral part of the business. He became group communications director in 2017 and was responsible for marketing, product management and governance, and complaints managed. He also led the rebranding and development of the firm’s proposition after Curtis Banks bought Suffolk Life.
He died on 25 July after being hit by a car while walking back to his hotel in the French Alps. He had gone for a motorcycling trip after the lockdown restrictions had been lifted.
Curtis Banks said his enthusiasm and passion for life “were evident in everything he did from his rather colourful golfing trousers, the way he threw himself into the charity Bake Off challenges, to supporting his friends and colleagues through any situation”.
Curtis Banks CEO Will Self said: “Greg was a true friend to many of us and a professional and charismatic colleague to us all. Greg made a huge contribution to the full integration of the Curtis Banks Group brand and proposition, making it the market leading organisation that it is today.
“Greg had many interests outside of work and he would often combine his love of travel with his passion for photography, Formula 1 and motorbikes. He was also a true family man and loved nothing more than walking with his wife Kat on the Norfolk beaches.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, to whom we express our deepest sympathy.”
