Cashflow technology provider CashCalc has partnered with Money Alive and Expert Pensions to offer triage services to its customers.

The partnership will see both firms’ triage services become accessible via the CashCalc transfer value comparator (TVC) and appropriate pension transfer analysis tool (APTA) module.

Money Alive and Expert Pensions both offer educational videos for consumers, which can be used as an alternative triage service to the traditional face-to-face service offered by advisers during the defined benefit (DB) transfer process.

Last month RP’s sister publication Professional Adviser revealed consolidator Fairstone had ditched the traditional triage element of its DB transfer process, opting instead to use Money Alive’s educational videos on potential clients.

CashCalc director and Chartered financial planner Ray Adams said: “As a practising financial adviser, I am an advocate of using all the technologies available. It is therefore fantastic to partner up with Money Alive and Expert Pensions and demonstrate you don’t need to integrate in order to help.

“The initial aim of this partnership is simply to make our users aware of the triage services currently on offer and enable them to link across if they wish.”

Money Alive co-founder Ian Beestin said: “CashCalc’s ethos of working collaboratively to help advisers achieve superior client experiences and outcomes resonates strongly with us.”

Expert Pensions Chartered financial planner John Reynolds added: “Education is in our DNA and our reputation for successful online virtual learning is well established in the community of advisers. Extending our successful online learning expertise into non-advised educational tutorials for advisers’ clients is a natural extension of our expertise.”
