Zurich launches pensions guidance service

Zurich has launched a new digital pensions proposition for workplace customers to help them manage their pensions and provide guidance on how they can achieve the retirement they want.

The service, called Futureyou, aims to provide people with ways of interacting with their pensions and will be activated for clients as soon as an employer signs up for it.

It will provide savers with direct access to information and support about their pensions. It also includes several digital tools and services that engage customers with their financial wellbeing at key stages and events in their lives.

The service includes a tool designed to inspire savers to think about their retirement by offering an alternative way of picturing the future life that they want – be it travelling the world or learning new skills – and what will be required to achieve that.

Futureyou also allows customers to consolidate pension pots by rolling savings into their existing workplace scheme with Zurich. Where more complicated help is needed, the service will refer customers to a remote, product-specific helpline.

It was created using the principles of ‘user-centred design’, after liasing with customers. Zurich believes the co-designing and testing of the service in development will help ensure the service meets its customers’ needs.

FutureYou managing director Emma Huntingdon said: “The service will help people be better informed to make financial choices. “The last 18 months has seen several changes from the government that have shifted responsibility from the State to the individual and Futureyou reflects the growing desire of customers to take control of their future financial well-being.”
